Steel Wire Rope Sling Inspection – Part 1


Measures to be taken during an outburst of Fire

 

o   Shout with loud sound as ‘FIRE’, ‘FIRE’, ‘FIRE’, at the top of your voice to alert the people nearby.

o   Inform HSE Department or any responsible employee on site.

o   Switch off all energized electrical & other equipment’s and engines.

o   Do not use any gas cylinders, turn of all gas cylinder valves.

o   Evacuate all the persons in that area.

o   Assemble at the designated safe assembly point.

o   A Head count / Roll Call is taken.


Confined Space Monitor | Communication


o   Site employees shall only tackle outbreaks of fire if you trained in fire safety and fire that can be easily controlled.

o   In the event of major fire, access to the site and the building must be cleared to allow all possible access to the Fire Brigade.

o   One person at staff level must be directed to the site entry gate to inform the Fire Brigade of the location of the fire and to guide the easiest & safe access routes to the building.

o   No one is allowed to return to their workplace until the affected area is declared safe by incident controller.

o   HSE Team shall get the report from supervisors of any casualty / missing persons, and will report to the Project Manager.

 

 Safety Measures for Electrical Room

 

Actions in the event of Injury to Personnel:

 

If persons injured are not in imminent danger

Ø  Stop, look for dangers / hazards to yourself before approaching to the injured

Ø  Seek qualified medical assistance by: Notifying first aider on telephone, and

Ø  Giving a succinct report stating

ü  Your name

ü  Location of incident

ü  Number of persons involved

ü  Nature of injuries, if known

Ø  Give assistance as necessary.

Ø  If the injured sustains fractures, he must not be moved. Ensure first aid guidelines are followed.

 

Compressed gas cylinder safety


If persons injured are in imminent Danger (e.g. not breathing, under external threat to life, fire, gas/oil leak…) then

§  Look for dangers / hazards to yourself before approaching to the injured.

§  Give immediately the necessary first aid assistance to preserve life.

§  Shout for help or raise alarm by operating nearest Break Glass Alarm Point or by telephone. Take near by persons help if available.

§  Report incident to emergency coordinator/emergency response team on telephone No. ……

§  Continue assisting the injured persons until the arrival of qualified medical aid/ambulance.

The scene of the incident shall not be disturbed (unless further damage or injury to personnel could occur) until the HSE Team have carried out the investigations.
