Do & Don'ts for EOT Crane



Do’s for the EOT Crane

  • Ensure the battery healthiness of the crane remote.
  • Use all necessary PPE’s while working on Crane.
  • Do visual inspection of the crane rope & drum condition.
  • Ensure that no other person should be travelling on the crane gangway.
  • Ensure the status of load testing of the crane.
  • Check all the operations of the crane & note down the abnormalities, if any.
  • Ensure proper functioning of all the limit switches as per relevant operations.
  • Check all the gearbox & oil conditions.
  • Be in proper communication with the co-operating colleague.
  • After completion of the work, ensure that the C-hook of crane should be at safe height compared to adjacent equipment's.
  • Always keep the remote at its assigned place while crane handover.

Don’ts for the EOT Crane


  • Don’t lift / lower the crane C-Hook beyond the set limit switch.
  • Don’t operate the crane intermittently.
  • Don’t operate the crane in Fast Mode at extreme LT & CT positions.
  • Don’t guide / communicate with the crane operator while standing below the lifted load.
  • Don’t touch the moving parts of crane unless the relevant power isolation is ensured.
